Missing Them

They came and went so quickly … or so it seemed to me. A pair of House Wrens nested in the birdhouse we put up in our backyard. The male was busy working on the nest some weeks back. And, when the female approved of the site they completed the nest making their temporary home not six feet away from a hammock and lounge chairs on the upper bank in my backyard.
