I was recently introduced to Jane Jacobs and her thoughts about urban living. She passed away a few years ago at a ripe age of 89 years, a true-blue reformer advocating for some 40 years that communities required connection in their design.

I recently had the privilege of attending the Chicago premiere of a new documentary about Aldo Leopold called, “Green Fire” at Spertus Institute. The documentary is a thoughtful film about the life and values of one of America’s founding fathers of the modern environmental movement.
