Summer Reading 2006

Jun 22, 2006 No Comments

The school buses have been dropping off children up and down my street since before noontime today.
It’s the last day of the school year.  Time for summer fun, looking for four leaf clovers, staying cool in the local pond
or town pool, and hanging out!  Hopefully there will be some summer time reading inbetween camp, vacations, family
reunions and work.   Here are a half dozen suggestions that Inspiration House has been hearing being passed around:

Confessions of an Economic Hit Man by John Perkins

The inside story of how America turned
from a respected republic into a feared empire

Change the way you look at things and
the things you look at will change

Reflections on America, God and world affairs

The beginning of our religious traditions

Simple conversations to restore hope to the future

Forty-Two new poems by one of the
best-selling poets in America

Thinking of a summer vacation?  Consider including a spiritual/sacred destination.  A friend has just written this new book on American Pilgrimage.
